MUST Sim for Life and CUAMM Doctors with Africa have partnered to build the capacity of frontline birth attendants in the Karamoja region. The aim behind this capacity building is to improve maternal and newborn outcomes for this region through skills training using simulation methodology.

The participants for this course were tutors at St. Kizito Hospital Matany and midwives in the Karamoja region. The training was inclusive of; Faculty Development Course, Peer to peer learning, PRISMS (Protecting Infants Remotely by SMS) and Simulation scenario exposure. This training took place at the Simulation Centre at Mbarara University of Science and Technology.
